Brunetta Coat of Arms

According to Flavio Andreatta of the Italian Genealogy and Heraldry Society of Canada, the above family crest is one of two used by the Brunetta family in Azzano Decimo. I am sorry I do not have a larger image.
Flavio writes, "One does not need to be noble to have a coat of arms. As a matter of fact, coats of arms were originally used by the medieval knights in combat as a sign of identity (they wore vizors) and only later did the nobility and royalty use arms. In Europe, many families, starting in the 14th century, who had land or were wealthy or held positions in civil or ecclesiastical bodies etc. had coats of arms designed. Now, anyone may have a coat of arms if they wish."
