Here is the Atto di Matrimonio for Beniamino Barzan and Fiorina Degan in Barco, dated 9 July 1881. Important information includes the parents of the bride, Giovanni Battista Degan and Antonia Boccalon, and the groom, Antonio Barzan and Maria Fabbro. Beniamino was born in Claut, and Fiorina in Barco. It's great to see their actual signature at the bottom of the page.

Luigia Marcuz comes to Canada, 1921

This is a recently solved family mystery, when Luigia Marcuz came to Canada to visit her sons. Finally, just a few days ago, I found her arrival declaration and that of everyone traveling with her. You can also click on the image above to see it larger. The declaration indicates she planned to stay 6 years in Canada. I was surprised to see this. She was traveling with Giovanna, Caterina, Paolo, Giuseppe, and another surprise, Adele, a servant. They traveled on the SS Caserta to Quebec in July 1921.

Hi Everyone, I realized that it is impossible to keep up with all I am posting on the family web site unless I tell you what is happening. This is the purpose of the blog. Also so you can add information and stories whenever you like.

Thanks to everyone for the stories and photos that are coming in. I am adding them to the web site as quickly as possible. It takes a lot of time, but eventually I hope to have everything I have up on the web for everyone to see for themselves.
